In Process

Through this I intend to discourse something that I saw as really predominant currently. Outcomes are tyrannizing the lives of most of the individuals, and comparisons are creating an effect that makes us believe in ourselves a lot less than we’re supposed to actually. I had a notion about this and well, I’m seeing this standardize emotions, or something more of manipulation, cause your life isn’t in your control, you’re providing access to how you feel or even what you decide to someone else; people are more concerned about what others are doing than what their activities are, even if they know what they are headed towards is absolutely right minded. Get immersed in your process, you’re on your path, doing your stuff, and in your pace, don’t judge your journey on the basis what others might say or do; concisely whatever that’s involved with “others” isn’t what “you” were up to in the first place.

When you start seeking for validation from other people understand that you’re losing faith in yourself. You do not trust your intuitions; rather you’re becoming insecure over your decisions after observing someone else’s.  Consider this scenario; say you want a book for your course and you research about it and finally end up buying one after some “serious thoughtful consideration”. But here’s the catch; you see your friends using another one and maybe you would start doubting if you were actually correct about your decision, this might have possibly happened to you; maybe not over books but over other aspects of your life. The analogy here to interpret is that you decide for yourself which is perfectly fine (and something that you should do more often), but you’re disbelieving yourself due to the influence of someone who’s not you. Well that doesn’t seem so redeeming does it?

When you start considering the life of other people yours in turn becomes hollow; before you realize it you’ll turn into a person who literally lives for what people think about them. Their life weighs down over the perceptions of what others think about extramurally. In short you’ll lose yourself over volatility of idealization that comes from the listening to free advices succumbing to a state of constant doubt, disbelief and narrow mindedness.

Understand that anything for that matter is not achieved overnight, everything takes time, and if you rush you’ll miss a lot of things that could improve you along the way (but you didn’t let it cause you were busy comparing and racing with others). When you’re improvising any process, just “be there”; don’t think how someone else would do it, rather focus on how you’re accomplishing it, don’t whizz along, understand you’re not lagging, you’re in your pace and you’re doing it to achieve your results that may be important to you and not to prove someone else (aftermath will do it automatically for you; it doesn’t necessitate conscious flicker). Be strong, it’s okay to observe others but not to that extent that you lose track of what you have and who you are. You’re an individual (complete), listen to people but don’t let it “own” you, stay in control; significantly stay with yourself.

No comparisons and no generalizations. Focus more on the process; less on the consequences.

Period; you’ll get there before you realize it.
